Ken Andrews, IAAI-CFI
Senior Fire and Explosion Origin and Cause Investigator
Ken retired from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in 2016. The last sixteen years of his ATF career were spent as an ATF Certified Fire Investigator and Certified Explosives Specialist, serving on the ATF National Response Team and International Response Team conducting large-scale fire and explosion investigations across the United States and abroad.
He is a certified Federal Law Enforcement Instructor and has taught fire and explosion investigators at the National Fire Academy, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the National Center for Explosive Training and Research, and internationally through the International Law Enforcement Academy.
On retirement he became a founding member of Forensic Investigation and Consultation LLC, a fire investigation firm headquartered in Raleigh, and continued in that role until joining ARA in 2024. He is a past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the IAAI.
