Ivan Collins, P.E.

Ivan is a licensed professional engineer and Managing Partner with Accident Reconstruction Analysis, PLLC. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2007, and began his career with ARA in 2005 while still a student. His introduction to forensic engineering came through a chance conversation during his time with the Wolfpack Motorsports Formula SAE racecar team, which led to an internship and, after graduation, a full-time position as a staff engineer.

Since joining ARA, Ivan has conducted forensic investigations involving mechanical systems, fires and explosions, material failures, electrical and structural systems, vehicle and equipment failures, and accident reconstruction. In 2016 he and several other engineers became owners of the company, and he now serves as Managing Partner. Ivan has testified as an expert witness in dozens of depositions and several trials, traveled throughout the country for forensic investigations, and presented at conferences and continuing education courses. Outside of work, Ivan enjoys the outdoors and places with no cell signal.
